Pirate Bento, and Blog Hop!

Pirate Bento 2

Aaaaargh! Today be September 19th - Talk Like a Pirate Day! And the Bento Bloggers and Friends are havin' a blog hop - so you can click on the the Pirate button at the end of me post, and it'll take ye to the next blog in the hop, and then th' next, an th' next... until you've seen 'em all!

In me lunch, ye'll see none but a humble sandwich made to look sharp with a Jolly Roger made from mozzarella cheese:

cheese skull 2

It was all too easy to make - just melt shredded mozzarella cheese in the microwave for about a minute, stir until smooth, and press into a skull chocolate mold, like these ones yonder:

Press it down with the back of a spoon to get all the air bubbles out, an' chill it in Davy Jones' Locker   (the fridge) until it's firm. A toothpick works a charm to pop them skulls outa the molds.

In the rest o' the meal, there be some raw veggies t' eat with dip, some "black Pearl" grapes, and an orzo pasta salad topped with some purple cauliflower "sea coral" and a scurvy crab made of a bell pepper cut out with one of me fancy stainless steel cutters that me hubby got fer me birthday last yearrrrrrrr  😉  I think the wee little crab be scared of old Jolly Roger, judgin' by the look on his face - what think ye?

pepper crab 2

Now it be time to hop on over t' the next blogger, MonkeyMunchables: ( just click on the link below the Flying Lunchman button)
