Review - Fit n Fresh Smart Portion Food Prep Center

One of my favorite food companies, Fit n Fresh, invited me to participate in a survey where I would be entered into a drawing to receive $50.00 of merchandise. Boy was I surprised to be one of the winners!  I was able to select whatever I wanted from their website, and here's what I chose - you can get quite a lot for $50.00!

One of the items I chose was the Smart Portion Food Prep Center. I couldn't wait to try it out when I did my weekly food prep last Saturday! (I'll talk about the other things I got in future posts)

I took a few pictures showing how I used it to prepare broccoli, but I did use it to prepare most of my meals and snacks for the week (I just didn't want to take pictures of everything).

It was really a big help to have a cutting board, food scale, and measuring cup all in one unit. I chopped my broccoli while I watched cooking videos on my iPad  🙂

It was really easy to slide it off into the measuring cup on the side - a big help, and a real time saver for me :

Then I detached the measuring cup to pour it directly into my Zip n Steam bags:

There is also a food scale that you can set up at the top of the cutting board. I use my food scale mainly for weighing meat portions. I put a plastic baggie in the cup and weighed my chicken breast in it to cut down on washing it during my food prep:

The whole unit is easy to take down, wash, and it snaps together and stores flat!

I knew my shiny new toy would help me get my meals ready for the week, but I wasn't prepared for how much time it would actually shave off my food prep. I finished everything I needed to do about an hour sooner than I had expected ( woo hoo!), so I had plenty of time to clean up and organize my food in the  extra fridge we keep in the garage.

It was so nice to have everything all in one place. I usually stand at the counter when I chop veggies and meats for the week, which is really hard on my knees if I'm there for very long. But I was able to set everything up on my kitchen table, where I could sit and put my meals and snacks together assembly- line style. My knees were happy- and when my knees are happy, my life is happy!

Here's a video that shows more clearly how it can be used:

I highly recommend the Smart Portion Food Prep Center!  You can buy one here for a great price:

Or you can go to their website - fit-fresh.com

* Note: I received no compensation from Fit n Fresh for this post - I just love their products!
