My entry for the bento contest

Santa looking through a wreath, a photo by momessori2000 on Flickr.

So, I'm entering a bento contest. The info about it is on this site .  Here is my entry... I'm pretty new to bento, so I'm not as experienced as some of the other people who are entering the contest ( man, there are some really talented people out there!) but I really wanted to at least give this a try.
It has a foundation of cashew chicken ( one of my family's favorite dinners) topped with lemon rice; Santa's face is turkey breast, and his eyes are nori, and his nose is red bell pepper.  His beard is cauliflower. His hat is red bell pepper with jicima trim, and his mittens are as well.  I tried take the curvy shape of the pepper into account when cutting out the hat and mittens  🙂  The wreath is broccoli, and the holly berries are red bell pepper with spinach leaves.
So that's about it! I can't wait to see who wins. And I can't wait to eat this bento - I  have some hungry family members who are standing by to help me.
