20 Minute Hot Hoagies

buttery bun piled with hot, melty cheese and meat - quick and delicious!

Hot, savory, cheesy sandwich with a special ranch butter sauce - all ready in 20 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 sub sandwich buns
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon powdered ranch dressing mix
  • sliced tomatoes
  • sliced pickles
  • sliced cheese of choice - like gouda (cheddar, swiss, etc.)
  • sliced deli meats of choice - like ham (turkey, roast beef, pastrami, etc.)
  • foil to wrap sandwiches

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in microwave.
  2. Stir in ranch dressing powder. Mix well.
  3. Split open 4 buns, and brush half of butter sauce on insides of buns.
  4. Add meat, cheese, and other sandwich fillings as desired.
  5. Close buns, and brush remaining butter sauce on top of each bun.
  6. Wrap in foil.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until cheese melts.

Notes

You can, of course, use regular or gluten free buns for this - the sandwich shown is on one of my gluten free buns.
