Iris Bento - Girls Lunch!


  Yesterday was fun - my daughter-in-law has been coming over lately on her day off from work so we can spend some time together dreaming up some cute projects to make for their baby, who will be joining the family this coming August! This will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, so we are all SO excited!!

  I decided to make us both some bento for lunch. I made almost identical lunches - chicken nuggets, rice, steamed vegetables, and purple irises made from Red Garnet potatoes, cheese, sugar snap peas, and black sesame seeds. We also had pineapple and strawberry skewers on the side. Here's a picture of mine:

    I never heard of a Red Garnet Potato before. Looks yummy. I love colorful foods.
